the adventures of a foodie
Over the years I have become more and more interested in cooking and inspired by the foods I encounter, both locally and abroad.
I started putting together recipes for a family cookbook and thought it might be fun to start a blog sharing my fresh, often healthy, recipes and my "foodie adventures" with like-minded people. Hopefully I will inspire you to find some fresh ingredients and cook up something delicious!
Living in New York City, we have pretty much everything at our fingertips, and though I do prefer to eat/cook from locally sourced goods, sometimes you have to head to other markets around town where you can find some great international products and produce. So whether it be at your local farmers' markets, grocery stores/international markets or on your next trip, take a look around, you never know what new produce or dish you might encounter.

DISCLAIMER: Some of these posts may not have precise recipes. They are meant more to inspire and give an idea for ingredients / ratios of ingredients. Think of it as passing along family recipes... you know, the ones that say, “mix a little of this, and a dash of that”
